The Fair Work Ombudsman’s (FWO) role is to support compliant, productive and inclusive Australian workplaces. We aim to build a culture of compliance with workplace laws and work with our stakeholders to find solutions to workplace issues.

What We Do

The FWO Legal Group are a busy team of professionals responsible for both conducting civil penalty litigation and providing legal advice relating to Commonwealth workplace relations laws. We work with internal stakeholders to identify and progress significant litigation. We provide advice on a range of workplace relations laws, instruments and emerging issues to support business and the community. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide a range of tools and resources to support the Australian community. We also contribute to a range of innovative continuous improvement projects within the Agency.
