Organiser Member Support Role (FT or PT, 4 days)

This duties of the position are divided between:
• responding to member calls across all ASU industry divisions in relation to workplace issues and
• organising in the ASU Private Sector Division (primarily Airlines but also including Travel, Shipping and IT)

The successful applicant will be expected to share the values of the ASU; represent members in workplace issues and grievances; build in recruitment to all aspects of work; hold workplace meetings with members, potential members and delegates; support, maintain and grow delegates individually and delegate structures in a workplace; identify disputes that have organising opportunities or the potential for collective action in the workplace; and proactively work with membership in mobilising strength in the workplace.

The ASU provides generous working conditions. The salary range for both positions is $80,306 - $98,936 (depending upon experience) plus superannuation.
