WorkLawyers is an applicant-focussed small firm, comprising 2 solicitors and 3 paralegal staff. We mainly do employment law but also do some contract, serious personal injury, defamation and general advice matters.
We are looking for a person who is an admitted solicitor with at least 2-3 years PQE or with a similar level of advocacy experience who is recently admitted or about to be. You will assist and take carriage of matters in our existing case load, mainly in the FWC, HRC, FCFCA, FCA , NSWDC and NSWIRC.
The position is offered on a casual or part-time basis 2-3 days per week plus regular extra hours to manage peaks in work and with a view to converting to full-time down the track.
We offer an informal and collaborative culture without a dress code, billable hour budgets or massive egos.
We are looking for someone who can handle swearing in the office, dealing with competing and occasionally crushing deadlines and the big-end of town lawyers without too much angst.
If you work well in a fast paced environment, where you will be expected to know your stuff (sooner rather than later) and get outcomes for clients without drama, this role is for you.
