Apply your comprehensive understanding, and experience in employment law and policy with your ability to lead employment related projects and complex case management, reforms and negotiations.

The Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment (OCPE) is the statutory employer of all employees in the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS). The office is responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of a number of Budget Repair Initiatives, and representing the employer with disputes in the Fair Work Commission, and other industrial relations activities.

Lead major and complex Employee Relations and Industrial Relations projects.

Represent the Northern Territory Government before Industrial Tribunals

High-level project management experience and stakeholder engagement skills.

As a Principal Consultant in Employee Relations, your primary objective is to lead specific projects, including the Budget Repair Initiatives, in areas of employment policy review, human resources and public sector employment and industrial relations.

You will also participate in, and lead industrial relations projects and advocacy cases in tribunals and provide consultancy and advisory services on employee relations policy matters across the NTPS. Your comprehensive understanding of and experience in employment law and policy will be put to good use as will your proven organisational and problem solving skills, ability to develop solutions for complex employment issues and staff management and leadership.
