About the role:
The Industrial Officer (Health Professionals) will be responsible for planning and carrying out work that promotes and enhances the Health Professional membership of the HSU.
The position holder will be a specialist Industrial Officer working with the HSU’s Health Professional membership. They provide advice in industrial matters; case manage industrial disputes that have profession wide significance and advise on Enterprise Agreement bargaining involving the Union’s Health Professional membership.

Location: Sydney CBD

Essential Skills and Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience within industrial relations, organizing and representing
members around collective issues.
• Advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and/or Industrial Relations Commission
• Experience in managing and directing industrial matters, enterprise agreements and
providing robust technical advice on complicated cases and issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build effective
relationships with various stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Desirable:
• Tertiary qualifications in law and/or industrial relations
• Understanding of Health Professional Workforce issues
• Understanding of the work, health, and safety laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Salary:
• Between $103,000 - $126, 891 subject to experience plus superannuation
