The Opportunity

Bring your outstanding employment law knowledge and experience to an ASX listed Company and help manage our Industrial & Employee Relations activities across the Australia/Pacific region.

Based in our Mascot Head office and reporting to the Employee Relations Manager APAC, your role will include but not be limited to:
• Maintaining harmonious industrial relations by providing effective IR case assessment, advice and reporting,
• Facilitate the implementation of fair and effective termination processes where required ensuring adherence to policy and legislative requirements,
• Provide timely and accurate advice to our business with respect to Performance Improvement, Fair Work Act and EEO requirements,
• Implement the requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy and undertake investigations in line with business requirements,
• Manage our employer immigration accreditations and staff visa matters,
• Drafting and review of policies, procedures, contracts and collective agreements to maintain best practice employment processes.

Our ideal candidate will bring;
• A current practicing certificate with 1-3 years' PAE working principally in employment law would be ideal, but a more recent graduate with the right attitude and potential may be considered,
• Experience within a unionised workplace consisting of a medium to large blue collar work force or similar position will be highly regarded,
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment frameworks and associated legislation,
• Ability to effectively interpret requirements of relevant industrial instruments including Awards, Collective Agreements and employment contracts and provide timely support to business units,
• Well-developed drafting and written communication abilities,
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence with genuine emotional intelligence,
• A strong drive and understanding of our safety message and cultural core values.

The successful candidate will need to work independently and confidently within a small and motivated team whilst delivering a high level of customer service to all levels of our business.
