We are seeking a manager for our Victorian office with excellent people management skills who can coordinate and support a busy team of professional investigators. You may have a background in employment law or industrial relations, or come from HR with a workplace relations focus. You will have strong stakeholder management experience and enjoy mentoring and developing others to achieve successful outcomes.

About the role
This is a senior role within the organisation and is part of the national management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Receiving client enquiries/briefs, preparing quotes and investigation proposals
• Developing and maintaining client relationships
• Supporting the investigation team to achieve successful outcomes by providing technical advice and direction
• Providing feedback to individual team members and identifying areas for improvement
• Managing and monitoring work in progress
• Assisting in the recruitment, training and mentoring of new investigators
• Undertaking investigations, as required from time to time
• Providing training presentations from time to time
• Assisting with the preparation of tender responses and proposals
• Marketing activities and identifying new opportunities within Victoria
About you
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to deliver high quality outcomes within budget and to specified time frames
• Excellent report writing, comprehension, editing and proofing skills
• Ability to focus and manage conflicting priorities
• Highly organised and process oriented
• Critical thinker who can communicate clearly and respectfully with others
• Willingness to participate in and work as part of a national team towards continuous improvements in investigation processes, quality assurance and client service
• Proven ability to demonstrate respect and sensitivity to the nature of the work which includes investigations into bullying, sexual harassment and child abuse
Qualifications
• Degree in related field, e.g. employment law, industrial relations or human resources
• Victorian investigation licence or eligible to apply
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations highly regarded.
