Work & Careers Reporter - 12 Month contract (Maternity Cover)

The Australian Financial Review is seeking a reporter to write for and edit the weekly Work & Careers newsletter. This covers news, trends and issues in the field of work and careers and is a 12 month contract based in our Sydney or Melbourne newsrooms.
The reporter will have a record of news breaking and will be familiar with the debates and trends relating to the future of work, implementation of AI, robotics and machine learning in workplaces. They will also be interested in exploring the changes taking place in workplaces including debates on wage growth, diversity and gender equity, productivity, the gig economy, unemployment, corporate culture, leadership and career development.
The reporter will also have a genuine interest in helping people to get ahead in their careers and will report on trends in education and career development. They will be adept at finding real life examples that tell the personal stories behind issues and trends.
The successful applicant will ideally have experience in blogging and digital publishing.

Qualifications
News reporting experience is preferred.
