The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers members employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union's membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.

NTEU is seeking applications for a full-time, ongoing position located in the NTEU Victorian Division office in South Melbourne, although travel to all Victorian campuses may be required from time to time.

As part of a Division team working with workplace branches, the successful applicant will be expected to:

* Provide industrial advice to members, branches and divisions on industrial matters and disputes
* Negotiate workplace grievances/issues and industrial disputes with management
* Provide high-level technical support and lead major Enterprise Bargaining negotiations
* Prepare and/or advocate cases before Fair Work Australia and other tribunals

This position will complement an established industrial team in the Victorian Division Office.

The appointment will be made at NTEU Level 7, which carry a salary in the range of $109,277 to $120,649, plus an additional 17% employer superannuation component. The terms and conditions of the positions are currently in accordance with the NTEU National Union Collective Agreement 2018-2021.
