Working across a complex organisation of over 22,000 employees, the Senior Workplace Relations Specialist will co-lead and deliver enterprise bargaining initiatives, manage industrial disputes, act as a point of escalation and advice, and contribute to broader legislative compliance initiatives and projects.

Supporting the Workplace Relations Leader and the related portfolios, you will be part of a fast-paced and collaborative team of workplace relations specialists. You will combine your passion for workplace relations and employment law, with strategic, practical and technical acumen. You will be able to provide timely, effective and pragmatic solutions to a range of businesses across multiple jurisdictions.

How will I help?

You will
• Work collaboratively and support the Workplace Relations team and broader organisation.
• Operationalise the Workplace Relations agenda across a broad array of business units (including optical, dental, aged care and health insurance) across Bupa Australia and New Zealand, and drive matters to completion (such as enterprise agreement negotiations and compliance initiatives).
• Interpret and apply legislation and industrial instruments across all Australia and New Zealand businesses.
• Provide strategic and pragmatic business orientated advice across a range of complex industrial relations matters.

What do I need?
• Consultancy, legal, advisory and/or management experience, inclusive of a demonstrable set of achievements in workplace relations in a large and complex organization.
• Ability to interpret and apply multi-jurisdictional legislation and provide strategic and pragmatic advice.
• Experience navigating and advising in a highly unionised setting.
• Able to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Proven ability to analyse and convert information and data into actionable insight, and to communicate that knowledge in a meaningful and useful way.
• Ability to manage and prioritise competing demands with a client-focussed and outcomes-centred approach.
• Numerate and proficient with Microsoft Office software including excel.
