As a member of the People & Culture leadership team you will play a critical role in ensuring organisational strategies, business performance expectations and change initiatives are achieved through a proactive and effective Workplace Relations environment.
You will oversee workplace relations, change management and OH&S for the department and its portfolio agencies. Leading a team of workplace relations and OH&S professionals, you will demonstrate sound understanding of contemporary developments in workplace relations and occupational health and safety, and will work cross-functionally, delivering quality outcomes and excellence in service delivery.
Playing an integral role as a subject matter expert in workplace relations and organisational change, you will be responsible for delivering strategic advice to the business to plan, implement and embed positive organisational change, as well as responding to workplace relations matters and identifying and treating workplace relations risks through education and policy development.
You will be involved in representing the department in VPS-wide committees and projects such as VPS and portfolio agency EBA bargaining and OH&S interdepartmental committees and will lead change management initiatives ensuring employee experience is maximised for stakeholders.
The successful applicant must have:
• Demonstrated experience in leading an ER/IR consultancy function with experience in organisational change management, preferably within a government setting
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and contemporary developments in human resources management
• Knowledge of OH&S management in a government setting
• Tertiary qualifications in a field related to human resources or law
