Senior State Organiser (QLD)

The National Tertiary Education Union represents academic and professional/general staff at all Australian universities.
We are currently seeking a full-time Senior State Organiser based in Brisbane. The appointee will be expected to oversee and coordinate the organising activity of the Union in Queensland and provide advice and assistance with a wide variety of organising, campaign and recruitment activities, including the preparation of campaign materials, membership recruitment, and the maintenance and service of statewide delegates' and other activists' networks. The position is also responsible for developing and coordinating all publications including social media and for the provision of strategic advice to a range of stakeholders.
The appointee will be part of a team of industrial and organising staff working across Queensland's universities, and will also liaise with relevant National Office staff.
Work hours are flexible from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and some interstate travel also being required.
The salary range is $105,034 to $115,964 and a 17% employer superannuation contribution applies. The position is on-going, subject to an initial probation period of six months.
