Principal Lawyer (VPS6)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Lawyer within Industrial Relations Victoria. Reporting to the Director, Wage Inspectorate Victorian (Inspectorate) you will provide high level strategic legal advice and support within the Inspectorate, and ensure the Inspectorate is effectively and efficiently meeting key requirements.

The successful applicant will have experience and expertise in workplace law, combined with excellent legal, research and policy analytical skills and demonstrated ability to translate complex legislation and policy to practical operational requirements.

The Principal Lawyer will exhibit highly developed skills in providing high level legal services in workplace law or industrial relations law with a background in regulation of business and litigation. You will demonstrate high level experience in the provision of legal advice and management of associated compliance, enforcement and litigation activities within a complex governmental and/or in-house context.
